CAREER OPTIONS
General Operations: The person is solely responsible for the administering
and coordinating the day to day operations of the Hotels and Restaurants.
They also take proper care of the staff management, Quality control
and client and customer service.
Front Office
Their main jobs are to receive the guests, making room reservations,
handling correspondence and preparing bills and managing accounts
of the guest. They supervise and co-ordinate the day to day work.
House Keeping
House keeping department keeps the hotel rooms, bars and lobby clean,
well-maintained, and also ensures facilities and comfort to the
guests.
Food and Beverages Department
Their major work is to provide the services of food and beverages
involving kitchen, bar and baker. The job options available are
for chefs or cooks. They also take utmost care for the guest comfort
and resolve issues and listen their complaints.
Accounting Department
The accounting department handles all the financial transactions
both cash and credit received from the guests. Job Positions available
are of cash, cost and works accountant. The Chief cashier, cash
clerk/bill clerk are also some of the positions handled by the account
department.
Sales & Marketing
The Sales & Marketing department deals with travel agents and
tour operators as well as other potential corporate clients in order
to sell hotel facilities and services. They also handle the Advertising
and Public Relations activities for the hotel.
Engineering / Maintenance Department
Qualified and experienced engineers are appointed for the maintenance
of the building, facilities, and various machines in operation within
the hotel premises.
Security department
Security Officers/ guards are commonly employed for this purpose.
Their paramount responsibility is to provide security to the guests
and their belongings. Retired Army personnel are preferred by this
security department.
